Bengaluru: A man was stabbed to death on the middle of the road at Neelasandra in Bengaluru on December 27, 2018. The incident was captured on CCTV and the video of the brutal killing is being shared widely on social media.

Though the accused was caught two days after the murder, the video came to light on Saturday

The victim has been identified as Arul Raj, 36. He was stabbed at least 16 times. Reports state that he was allegedly killed by a gym trainer Arun Kumar, 34. According to CCTV footage, Arun is seen walking behind Arul. After a while, Arun wielding a weapon stabs Arul in the back. A shocked Arul tries to retaliate but is met with repeated attacks on his body. Arul tries to walk ahead but comes to a staggering halt after a few steps when he collapses.

The neighbours who saw him fall alerted the police and took him to a nearby private hospital in an autorickshaw, where he was declared brought dead. A case was booked and accused was arrested based on the complaint filed by the police. Reportedly, Arun told police that he killed Arul because the victim was trying to have an affair with his wife, but police have ruled out this possibility.
