About 500 kg beedi leaves worth Rs 10 lakh being transported illegally seized in Uchipuli, Tamil Nadu; man arrested in this regard
Q branch of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) wing of Tamil Nadu Police have seized 500 KG of beedi leaves worth Rs 10 lakh at Uchipuli, Tamil Nadu. A man named Sulthan, 52, from Tirunalveli has been arrested and is being questioned by the Ramanathapuram Police. A Tata Ace vehicle has been seized by the police.
