Man vs wild: 35 elephants terrorise villagers in Assam

A herd of 35 wild elephants terrorised Morongi area in Assam's Golaghat district. The elephants entered a village and destroyed several houses. The villagers were seen to be firing at the herd. This is not the first time that a human-wildlife conflict has come out in the open. This week itself, the same herd was seen rampaging a paddy field in the same Golaghat district of Assam.
