Actor Vishal released after 8-hour detention in Tamil Nadu: TFPC office sealed

Chennai: The Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) president Vishal was released from ‘preventive custody’ by Chennai police on Thursday night. A team led by Guindy Tahsildar Ramkumar sealed the premises on Thursday night. According to reports, the T Nagar TFPC office will be reopened once the issues in the council are settled. A faction of members of the TFPC locked down the office on Thursday alleging misappropriation of funds, lack of transparency by the actor among other claims.
