3 accused of sexual harassment arrested in Pollachi, 1 absconding

Pollachi: Three men accused of sexually harassing and blackmailing a 19-year-old college student at Unjavelampatti, were arrested. The fourth accused is absconding.

The accused are identified as N Sabarirajan, N Sathish, T Vasanthakumar and K Thirunavukkarasu who is still on the run.

Sabarirajan allegedly requested the student to come out of her college during her lunch break. The girl met Sabarirajan in his four-wheeler while the other three accused were hiding nearby.

Once the victim entered the car, the others also rushed into the vehicle and sped away. Sabarirajan allegedly tried to strip off her clothing in the moving vehicle while another captured the incident on a phone.

The accused allegedly wanted her to satisfy their sexual desires but when she denied, they blackmailed her with the video. Her gold chain was snatched before she was thrown out of the car.

She later informed her parents after she was constantly blackmailed. A case was then registered by the victim’s parents
