25 feared dead in fatal accident in Mandya

Mandya: A private bus fell into a lake near Mandya, Karnataka, killing at least 25 passengers. The bus was travelling from Pandavpur to Mandya when the driver allegedly lost his balance and the bus fell into Kanakanamaradi channel in Karnataka. Sources say that there were at least 40 passengers in the bus. With 25 dead, rest are said to have suffered severe injuries. As soon as the bus fell into the water source, the driver reportedly fled the place. The bus is being lifted from the channel with the help of ropes. Relatives of the victims are inconsolable. Chief minister Kumaraswamy has expressed shock over the incident.
