The idol of the Lord Ardhanareeswar was taken out in procession, and the Maha Deepam was lit at 6 pm on November 23.
Tiruvannamalai: Over 9,000 police officials were present while lighting the ‘Maha Deepam’ in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvannamalai. This 10-day festival of Sri Arunchaleswar temple began on November 14 with the flag hoisting. On Friday, the day began with a puja followed by the lighting of Bharani Deepam (Maha Deepam) at the temple at 4 AM. Thousands of devotees rushed in to witness the glorious procession of Lord Ardhanareeswar.
