Acknowledging the importance of television, UN observes November 21 World Television Day
The United Nations first held the World Television Forum on November 21 and 22, 1996, in New York, to appreciate the role of television in bringing information to the world. The forum was attended by government officials, journalists and individuals, to establish the power of communication, socially, politically, and economically in a democracy.
