Recently, Southern Railway posted a video online of a group of women singing on the Vande Bharat train. People on X (Twitter) are calling it irritating and a lack of social etiquette, pleading for it not to be promoted.

Southern Railway posted a video of a group of women singing on the Vande Bharat train from Chennai to Mysuru. But the video did not sit right with the people on the internet as they are calling it ‘irritating’ and a ‘public nuisance’. The women were singing an A.R. Rahman song 'Kanmani Anbodu' which is a famous Tamil song. In the video, the women can be seen looking at their phones for the lyrics and singing together.

The post by the Southern Railway said, "A symphony of joy aboard the #Chennai - #Mysuru Vande Bharat Express! Witness the enchanting moments as these young ladies turn their journey into a delightful musical escapade with their sweet songs."

After a few minutes of posting, people started commenting on the post about the noise and disturbance created by the women on a public train. Many were unhappy with the video, saying it promotes public nuisance and disturbance for others who just want to travel peacefully. One user wrote, "Honestly irritating, they can wear headphones and listen to their song, or may be get down and do group activities. If I am paying a premium to travel, I need a good and comfortable sleep, streaming music of my personal choice through headphones. Don’t make this a new normal."

Some people also commented about public etiquette and how disrespectful it is to fellow passengers. One user commented, "What kind of nuisance is this. When will we ever learn social etiquette to travel quietly, and respect others choice to travel noiseless? Do all this in Japan and will be straight kicked out of the train."
