Salman Khan house firing case: Rs 4 lakh supari offered to shooters, say police

Two individuals on a motorcycle fired five rounds outside Salman Khan's residence at Galaxy Apartments, Bandra, Mumbai on Sunday, April 14, around 4:55 am and field the scene. The suspects revealed that they were promised Rs 4 lakh for scaring Salman, not killing him. 

On Sunday, April 14 around 4:55 am, gunshots were fired at Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai. It is the residence of Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his family.

Two men on a motorcycle fired five rounds outside Salman Khan's residence and absconded. The incident shook the whole Khan family and raised concerns over their safety. The authorities have swiftly started investigating the case and fired an FIR against the unidentified individuals.

One more suspect has been arrested from Haryana on Wednesday night. According to the police, this suspect was a link between the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and the two shooters (Vicky Gupta, 24, and Sagar Kumar Palak, 21). 

As per the police report, Sagar was handed the gun moments before the shooting which was obtained from the Bandra area on April 13's night. Two suspects hail from Bihar and were arrested near a temple in Gujarat Kutch district on Monday. They claimed they aimed to induce fear and not harm the Dabbang star. The supplier of the gun remains unknown for now. 

Officials revealed that the shooters were promised Rs. 4 lakh for the shooting, with Rs. 1 lakh paid in advance. The job was to scare Salman Khan, not to kill him. 

At present, Mumbai police have initiated a Lookout Circular (LOC) against Anmol Bishnoi, brother of Lawrence Bishnoi. Anmol was in constant communication with the suspects via messaging and calling apps. The suspects also had multiple SIM cards on them and changed them frequently in different locations. 

Maharashtra Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde also met Salman Khan on April 17, afternoon and reassured his and his family's safety and justice. 

"The government is with you, I have told Salman Khan. Both the accused have been arrested. They will be interrogated. We will get to the root of the case. Nobody will be spared. Nobody should targeted this way," Shinde told the media. 

"No gang or gang war will be allowed. We won't allow this to happen. We will finish (Lawrence) Bishnoi," he added.
