A viral video surfaced on X, showcasing a couple riding a scooter with a child standing on the footrest. Netizens are furious, demanding extreme punishment for the adults involved in the video.

Indians do not take road safety too seriously, as it is a common sight in India to see three people riding a scooter or a bike without helmets or any other protection. There are traffic rules and several laws against it, but some people are ignorant and do not take into account their personal safety or the safety of others while on the road.

One such infuriating incident has surfaced on the internet from Bengaluru, where a couple can be seen riding a scooter and a child standing next to them on the footrest.

The video is shared on X (formerly Twitter) with a caption, "Idiots on the road @blrcitytraffic @BlrCityPolice please take action."

The video states, "How Stupid parents can be?? This video was captured At Graphite India, whilefield Bengaluru Will there be any action taken on these parents? Vehicle number: KA 05 HW 8193"

In the video, the child stands on the footrest and the woman holds him. This is an extremely unsafe practice, and several people on the internet commented on the post to express their opinions.

One user wrote, "I have no words! Road accidents claimed 19 lives in India every hour in 2022! A total of 4,61,312 road accidents occurred in 2022, which claimed 1,68,491 lives, while 4,43,366 people were injured! And, we still do this kind of thing on the roads!"

"If people don't have money to travel safely with kids, don't have kids! Simple," another added.

Some users also made fun of the situation and cracked jokes, one user commented, "Preparing for 26th January parade".
