Lord Rama tames the dragon! Hong Kong, Taiwan netizens throw their weight behind India

Bengaluru: In what comes as an advertisement of massive support and camaraderie between India, Hong Kong and Taiwan, a picture of Lord Rama shooting an arrow into a dragon, symbolising not just the victory of good over evil, but also of how India will tame the arrogant China, has gone viral on social media.

An illustration went viral on Hong Kong social media. 

In the pictorial illustration, the sentences, “We Conquer” and “We kill” have been prominently written. 

As reported by various media, the picture went viral on Hong Kong social media platform lihkg. 

Media reports also added that the image was picked up by Taiwan News, which made it their ‘Photo of the day’. Following this, it went viral on Indian Twitter, making #Taiwan one of the top-trending hashtags briefly. 

Many Indians welcomed the picture and thanked Taiwan for the support.

An expression “Milk Tea Alliance” was also used which refers to the common custom of adding milk to tea in Asian countries, with the exception of China, where black tea is more common. 

A note on the Galwan Valley violence: 

It all began when Indian soldiers dismantled a Chinese tent at Patrol Point 14, which is close to the mouth of the Galwan river. News18 has reported that the tent had been dismantled following a meeting between Lieutenant General Harinder Singh, who commands the Leh-based XIV Corps, and Major-General Lin Liu, the head of the Xinjiang military district.

But just within two days, it should be noted that the PLA set up a fresh tent at Patrol Point 14. This was in clear violation of the agreement.

So, the tent was burned down. Col Santosh Babu also laid down his life. His father, proud of his son’s martyrdom added that it is a privilege to die for the country.

India has always maintained that all its activities are well within its borders:

"Given its responsible approach to border management, India is very clear that all its activities are always within the Indian side of the LAC. We expect the same of the Chinese side," MEA Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said.
