An X user recently posted a picture online of a Zomato delivery partner crying and asking for money. He alleges that the food delivery company has blocked his account days before his sister's wedding. The post went viral, and Zomato responded, assuring that serious action will be taken.

A photo recently surfaced online, which has directed a lot of hate and criticism towards India's largest food delivery company, Zomato. The photo was shared by an X (formerly Twitter) user named, Soham Bhattacharya, who met the man near GTB Nagar. He was crying and asking for money as Zomato blocked his account a few days before his sister's wedding.

Sharing the picture online, Soham wrote, "This guy's sister's wedding is in few days & @zomato @zomatocare blocked his account! He was sobbing like anything near GTB Nagar, going to everyone and asking for some money. He told me he didn't eat anything saving it all for her wedding Please make it viral if you can."

We deeply value our delivery partners, and we understand the impact that actions like blocking an ID can have. Rest assured, we take such matters seriously. We assure you, we'll look into this. Our delivery partners are as important to us as our customers.

The post went viral and caught many eyeballs on the internet. Several people commented on the post expressing their thoughts. One user wrote, "This is really a shameless act from Zomato, this unruly behaviour isn't justifiable."

Zomato soon replied to the post saying, "We deeply value our delivery partners, and we understand the impact that actions like blocking an ID can have. Rest assured, we take such matters seriously. We assure you, we'll look into this. Our delivery partners are as important to us as our customers."

Soham has also shared a QR code on the post so that people can donate money to the delivery partner. He also revealed that the delivery partner is also working for Rapido to get some more funds since the Zomato account is locked.
