Netflix Showdown: Kiran Rao's Laapataa Ladies outperforms Animal in viewership

Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao's village drama Laapataa Ladies has established itself as a superhit on Netflix. 

It has also surpassed Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal in viewership on Netflix. Laapataa Ladies was released a month ago on Netflix and got 13.8 million views, beating Animal's viewership of 13.6 million in the first three weeks. 

The Aamir Khan production film is not just dominating Indian Netflix but has also found a vast audience globally and is trending in the United Kingdom.

One UK user wrote, "It’s become very popular in the UK. All my local friends loved it. They have only watched movies like Bahubali. So proud when they talk about Laapata ladies."

This comedy-drama has received tons of praise from film industry pros like Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra.
