Supporting another Twitter user's allegations against Kher, Mohapatra took to Twitter to share her #metoo story
Mumbai: The Indian #metoo movement is gaining momentum with scores of new allegations coming to light on social media. Singer Kailash Kher was recently accused of sexual misconduct by a fan who alleged he sent her lewd texts on Whatsapp. Inspired by that, singer Sona Mohapatra also shared her sexual harassment story on Twitter when Kher allegedly place his hand on her thigh during a meeting and how things progressed.

To call himself ‘simple’, ‘devoted to music’ & even claiming amnesia. If this chap could dare try this stunt with me, it’s a disease that he has & I can vouch for not only these two women’s stories but hundreds more he would’ve have preyed on."
