Shabana Azmi met with a car accident on Mumbai-Pune Expressway on Saturday. The actress is injured in the accident.
Press Trust of India tweeted the news. Her car reportedly rammed into a truck on Pune-Mumbai Expressway near Khalapur toll plaza. The actress has been admitted to MGM Hospital Panvel, Maharashtra.
The incident took place around 3.30 pm near Khalapur, over 60 km from Mumbai when the car in which she was travelling in rammed against a truck, said Raigad superintendent of police Anil Paraskar.
Shabana celebrated her husband Javed Akhtar's 75th birthday on Friday and was recently seen at a filmy party in Mumbai.
