Poonam Gupta’s Entrepreneurial Journey: Turning Waste into Wealth

Once, Poonam Gupta had to go through immense hardships to look for a job. Today, she has become an entrepreneur who provides employment opportunities to other jobseekers.
 

Poonam Gupta was born in Delhi. She completed her schooling and graduation studies in Delhi before getting married and relocating to Scotland. 
 

Following her MBA, Poonam Gupta wanted to get a job. However, she had to relocate to Scotland. Due to lack of experience, she couldn’t find employment.
 

After facing several rejections, Poonam Gupta decided to venture into the business world herself. 
 

Companies invest funds in wastepaper disposal and Poonam Gupta researched on the subject for ten months before formulating her plan of recycling the waste. 

In the year 2003, Poonam Gupta invested Rs 1 lakh and launched her business. She procured wastepaper from several companies and began recycling them. 
 

Poonam Gupta’s relentless efforts bore fruit, leading to partnerships with major companies. Her business named PG Paper has expanded to 60 countries. 
 

Poonam Gupta who once struggled to find a job, runs an international business worth Rs 800 crore. The company operates in countries such as America, China, and India etc.
