Puja Tomar, hailing from UP, has created history as the first Indian fighter to win in UFC.
Puja Tomar is a resident of Budhana in Muzaffarnagar. She is the first Indian fighter to win the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
She defeated Rayanne dos Santos of Brazil in the 52 kg weight category with scores 30-27, 27-30, and 29-28.
She secured the first place in Mixed Martial Arts in UFC held in Louisville, USA.
Puja Tomar has been five-time national wushu champion. She is also an expert in Karate and Taekwondo. She has represented India in numerous tournaments.
Puja Tomar has not only made her state proud but the entire country proud.
While talking to media, she said that she wants to show the world that Indian fighters are not losers.
