This 40-year-old mother is defying limits as a powerlifting champion

Rajasthan’s Anita Rathi is writing history with her extraordinary achievements. 
 

Anita Rathi, from Barmer, Rajasthan, is an international powerlifting athlete. She has won numerous medals in state-level and international competitions. 
 

It is remarkable that Anita joined a gym after 20 years of her marriage. In 2022, she ventured into powerlifting for the first time. 
 

Initially, Anita competed in powerlifting competitions in Bharatpur and Alwar, securing a spot in the top 5. 
 

In November 2023, she was selected for an international tournament and competed in the powerlifting bench press competition held in Texas. 
 

Anita’s next aim is to win a gold medal at the Asia Pacific Championships in Norway in 2025. Her husband works in marketing. They are parents to three children.
