She has four siblings; her father works as a contractor and her mother is a teacher. 

Astha earned a BSc degree from Sultanpur and an MSc degree in Food and Nutrition from Varanasi. 

Astha moved to Lucknow to do an internship at Sahara. She was determined to accomplish her childhood dream of becoming a dietician. 

Astha is the only member from her family who stepped out of her birth city and made a name for herself in Lucknow. 

In 2016, Astha got her first job at Diabeta Care. It was located 2 kilometres away from her residence and she used to cover that distance on foot. 

Presently, Astha is also pursuing BEd from Sultanpur. She attends her classes in the morning in Sultanpur and travels to Lucknow in the evening for her job.
