Delhi metro services will begin from 4 am on Independence Day, August 15, for the convenience of the passengers. The metro trains will be operational on all lines.

Metro timetable

From the start of service until 6:00 am, trains will run at intervals of 15 minutes on all lines. After 6:00 am, the metro will follow its regular timetable.

For those attending the Independence Day celebrations

with invitation cards issued by the Defence Ministry, special entry rules are in place. Attendees will need to present a valid photo ID.

Metro stations

The special arrangements will apply exclusively to the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, and Chandni Chowk metro stations. The invitation letters will also be valid for the return journey.
