    After 23 years, the 6th mega consecration ceremony also known as Kumbabishekam took place today at the Brihadeeswarar Temple or the Big Temple in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. The last event held in 1997 was delayed by a day as a massive fire engulfed the yagasalai leading to the death of 40 people in a stampede.
