In June 2009, Lisa Ray received her first cancer diagnosis. After three years of recovery, she relapsed once more. According to Dr. Sreenivass BJ, a medical oncologist at Bangalore's HCG Cancer Hospital, strength training does help cancer survivors.

Khushi Pandey founded her NGO named ‘Sapno Ki Udaan’ for the upliftment of marginalized communities. The initiative ‘Jeevika Sathi’ supports acid attack survivors by teaching them skills like sewing and embroidery.

In 2018, Devanshi Yadav established an NGO named ‘Ram Ashray Welfare Society’ in honour of her father. The organization strives to help underprivileged children. In 2019, she adopted her first child named Vanmayi, and in 2022, she adopted two girls from Uganda.  

Maahi Sandhu suffered from sexual abuse at a very young age. She was raped twice and her own family members subjected her to physical violence. After suffering from an abusive marriage, Maahi took a divorce for the sake of her children. Today. she is an independent single mother and serves as a powerful inspiration for all the women out there.

Mohammad Naseem Sheikh holds four world records under his name for making world’s smallest paintings and paint brushes. In 2016, he was diagnosed with cancer, but he did not let his illness come in the way of his dreams.

Shraddha Saxena is revered as the leading beauty and makeup expert from UP. After her marriage, she went through a difficult and distressing experience as she suffered from domestic abuse. She took a divorce and founded an NGO to support single mothers. Today, Shraddha makes a monthly income of Rs 3 lakh.

Sonali Bendre is an Indian actress, model, and writer. She made her acting debut with the film ‘Aag’ in the year 1994 and received the Filmfare Award for her debut performance. In 2015, Sonali Bendre published her first book ‘The Modern Gurukul: My Experiments with Parenting.’

Riddhi Rathore is a resident of Gujarat. She lost her mother when she was two years old, and the motherly love and protection was deprived from her. Riddhi suffered from extreme mental trauma when her father sexually abused her when she was in grade 7.  She persevered through all the hardships at that tender age, and today she is a successful assistant professor.

Anchal Sharma gave up her education to become an earning member of her family. She faced many obstacles in her life, but she came out as a star warrior. After recovering from cancer in 2018, she started her organization ‘Meals of Happiness’ where she provides meals to people in need. Today, she is an inspiration and strong influence on everybody’s lives.

Dr. Kamal Ranadive was an Indian biomedical researcher who is known for her research in cancer about the links between cancers and viruses. She was a founder member of the Indian Women Scientists' Association (IWSA). In the 1960s, she established India's first tissue culture research laboratory at the Indian Cancer Research Centre in Mumbai.
