Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary at the Belur Mutt, the headquarters of Ramakrishna Mission.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Kolkata when he said that Chandrayaan 2 was not a failure as it had successfully generated curiosity amongst the youth. He insisted that scientific discoveries might not be of immediate help to the present generation but could be beneficial in the future.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the fifth India International Science Festival. PM Modi will also address a gathering in Kolkata through video conferencing. The India International Science Festival (IISF) 2019 is an annual event organised jointly by the science and technology-related ministries and Departments of the Government of India and Vijnana Bharati (Vibha).
