Nirbhaya Gangrape  

The convicts of the Nirbhaya gangrape will get to live longer as the Patiala House Court has deferred their hanging. 

The Supreme Court dismissed the review petition of Akshay Kumar Singh, one of the four men convicted in the 2012 Nirbhaya gangrape and murder case. The review petitions of the three other convicts, Mukesh, 30, Pawan Gupta, 23, and Vinay Sharma, 24, had been dismissed earlier.

Neeraj Kumar was the Delhi Police chief during the Nirbhaya gangrape in December, 2012. He faced flak for the way the Delhi Police handled the case.
