Rights groups and activists have welcomed Bangladesh's decision to allow Rohingya children living in sprawling refugee camps to receive a formal education, calling it a "positive step".

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given approval for the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Myanmar on bilateral cooperation for Prevention of Trafficking in Persons; Rescue, Recovery, Repatriation and Re-integration of victims of Trafficking.

As many as 600 people have been killed and over 25 million others affected due to flooding, said the United Nations. In India, UNICEF is working with the state governments to provide multi-sectoral planning and coordination support in the three worst-affected states of Assam, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.

According to reports, the arrested Rohingyas hail from Myanmar's Mondu Thana of Kunkarpara village, and a broker had helped them enter India

Security personnel recovered Myanmar made preserved fruit packets, sweets, white coffee and other items which were in their possession

Their fates intertwined with Assam Rifles when troops of Moreh Batallion deployed at Indo-Myanmar Friendship Bridge found them.
