In recognition of the innovative solution, the Infosys Foundation awarded Karibasappa the Aarohan Award in 2019. The ‘solar insect trap’ serves as a natural insect killer, significantly reducing the need for pesticides in the fields by 70 to 80 percent.

Rajpal Singh Narvariya had to discontinue his studies due to financial constraints but his curiosity drove him to explore the hidden cave of innovations he was meant to be known for. After making around 20 machineries, he has not abandoned his will to invent something new and continues on the path of creation.

Nagpur’s Pramod Gautam quit from his high-paying job and decided to become a farmer instead. He cultivates groundnut, turmeric, pulses, orange, guava, lemon and much more. He is considered as one of the successful farmers of Nagpur. His business has an annual turnover of Rs 1 crore.

Abandoning the use of traditional farming methods, Mahendra learned about the organic farming method in Madhya Pradesh. He returned to his village and opened an FPO. He has helped over 1000 farmers adopt modern farming methods and has made over Rs 8 crore in the last four years.
