King Salman  

Sultan Ibrahim ibni Sultan Iskandar was crowned as the new king of Malaysia for a term of 5 years, on Wednesday. According to media reports, Sultan Ibrahim’s elder son Prince Tunku Ismail Idris has served as a Captain in the Indian Army. In 2007, he became the first foreigner to lead a contingent of the Indian Army.

Empress Wu Zetian was the first and only female emperor in Chinese history. She lived from 624 AD to 705 AD. Even today, she is recognized as one of the wealthiest women monarchs. In historical texts, Empress Wu was described as exceptionally beautiful. Her beauty was unmatched, yet she was also known for her cruelty as a ruler.

Mansa Musa is often regarded as one of the wealthiest kings in history. He was born in 1280 in Mali. Under his reign, his country produced 1000 kg of gold annually.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Saudi Arabia upon the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz. The two leaders have signed agreements on key issues such as oil and gas, defence, civil aviation etc. PM Modi is now on his way back to India. 

This is PM Modi's second visit to the Gulf nation. During his first visit in 2016, King Salman conferred the Prime Minister with Saudi's highest civilian award. The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia visited India in February 2019.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia and has landed in Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport.  PM Modi was invited by Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and with an aim to boost bilateral ties between the two countries in key sectors, including energy and finance.

During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Saudi Arabia, the two countries are expected to sign several agreements. Modi, visiting the kingdom at the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, will hold a bilateral meeting with the Saudi ruler and delegation-level talks with Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman on October 29.
