With a view to monitor the rural drinking water supply systems in villages, ministry of Jal Shakti has decided to take the digital route to use sensor-based IoT devices to effectively monitor the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in more than six lakh villages  
 

On the occasion of World Water Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 'Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain' campaign in a bid to conserve water through a participatory approach

The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Shakti, organised the ODF Sustainability workshop here today, with a special session by actor Aamir Khan who is also the Founder, Paani Foundation. As part of the workshop, the Swachhata Darpan Awards were presented by Shri Khan to the best performing districts on key swachhata parameters.
