    Seat No. 64 in B5 Coach Of Kashi Mahakal Express Reserved For Lord Shiva!

    For the first time, the Indian Railways has reserved a seat for a deity on a train. The national transporter, which launched its third IRCTC operated train named Kashi Mahakal Express from Varanasi to Indore, has reserved a seat for Lord Mahakal (Lord Shiva) on board. Northern Railway spokesperson Deepak Kumar said: "It is for the first time that a seat has been left reserved for a deity. One seat in Kashi Mahakal Express (seat number 64 in B5 coach) has been left reserved for Lord Shiva.” He added, “Even a temple has been drawn on the seat to make people aware that the seat is reserved for Lord Mahakal.”

    Indian Railways offers 50% Concession for Youth Participating in “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat” Programme

    In order to facilitate the travel of youth participants of “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat” program, Indian Railways has decided to grant 50% concession in basic fares of Second/Sleeper Class to youths with earnings/emoluments of not more than Rs.5000/- per month for travelling from one State to another State to take part in ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ programme. This concession has been granted as a special case and it is admissible only in the normal train services and not for booking of Special Trains/Coaches.

    Here's How You Can Claim Compensation On Delay of IRCTC's Tejas Express

    IRCTC will pay a compensation of Rs100 in case the train during its run is delayed by more than one-hour and Rs 250 in case the train is delayed by more than two hours. The train has been running on time since launch, but it recorded a delay of more than two hours on October 19 due to late start from Lucknow in the morning.
