Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled Rs 102 lakh crore of infrastructure projects to be implemented in the next five years
 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first coach made under ‘Make in India’ programme. The Prime Minister also inaugurated three metro lines and also launched several infrastructure projects worth Rs 20,000 crore.

PM Narendra Modi will be visiting Bengaluru, Hubballi, Kalaburagi in Karnataka and Kancheepuram in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday. He will be on an inauguration-spree with many developmental programmes lined up.

Ever since 2014 when he became Prime Minister, Modi’s government has implemented a host of stuck or neglected legislation, including the celebrated GST, got infrastructure projects going again as only the BJP can, and picked off many of the low-hanging fruits from the previous government’s leavings, deliberations and yojanas. This has left the Congress complaining that most of what Modi has done was mooted or even operational in the UPA era

Union minister Nitin Gadkari urged the state governments in the region to regularly monitor the progress of the infrastructure projects. on Monday, he reviewed all national highway projects in the eight northeast states.
