The list features top ten achievements of Indian government during the last few years. Qatar released 8 Navy veterans on 11 February 2024. On 26 October 2023, these veterans were sentenced to death on charges of alleged spying.

Durga Bhabhi was one of those lesser-known freedom fighters who fearlessly fought against the British rule, dedicating her life to India’s independence. She was a member of the Naujawan Bharat Sabha. She is also credited with the establishment of Montessori school for kids in Lucknow.

Quit India Movement was launched by Mahatma Gandhi in 1942. It was a significant milestone in India’s struggle for independence from British rule. Monalisa, defying all the societal conventions, runs a tea stall named ‘The Classic Tea’ at Manjhi Chowk in Bhagalpur, Bihar. Presently, she is pursuing her graduation from Tilkamanjhi University, Bhagalpur. Apart from the tea shop, Monalisa also provides tuition classes to school children for financial independence.

Lakshadweep is situated about 406 kilometres away from Kerala’s coast. Interestingly, at the time of independence, Lakshadweep was not initially a part of India. Lakshadweep, comprising 36 islands, with a total are of 32.62 square kilometres, became a Union Territory of India in 1956. Formerly known as Laccadive, it was officially renamed Lakshadweep in 1973.

KM Mammen Mappillai was the first Indian entrepreneur from the time of independence. In 1946, he started making balloons under a makeshift shed in Tiruvottiyur, Madras. In 1952, KM Mammen Mappillai established the foundation of MRF. The market capitalization of MRF is more than Rs 33,000 crore.
