Deepika Kumari is an Indian archer. In 2010, Deepika won a gold medal in the Commonwealth Games in the women’s individual recurve event. The Government of India honoured her with ‘Padma Shri’ in the year 2016.

Dhyan Chand is considered the greatest player in the history of hockey. He is also called the ‘Magician of Hockey’. In December 1934, Dhyan Chand was appointed as the captain of the team. Dhyan Chand has won 3 Olympic gold medals (1928, 1932, 1936) for his country.

Rachna Gupta’s father earns around Rs 500 in a day by selling sweets on his handcart. There were financial issues but despite that he gave best education to his children. Rachna scored 93.05 marks in MSc maths and in the convocation ceremony of her college, she was awarded with 9 medals for her exceptional academic performance.

In World Table Tennis (WTT) Youth Contender Tournament held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, 9-year-olds Avni Dua and Krishiv Garg made the entire nation proud. Avni won the gold medal in Under-11 girls category while Krishiv made it to the quarter finals in the Under-11 boys category. Both the kids aspire to represent India in future Olympic games.

Yashaswini Singh Deswal is an Indian sport shooter. She began her training as a pistol shooter in the year 2012. In the year 2017, she set a world junior record of 235.9 in the 10-meter air pistol event and also won the gold medal in the ISSF Junior World Championship in 2017.

Shushila Likmabam is an Indian Judo player. She participated in the 2014 Commonwealth Games and won a silver medal for the country. In the year 2019, Shushila won a gold medal at the South Asian Games in 48 kg category.

Iqra Warsi comes from a small district in Indira Nagar. She has received gold medals for her excellent performance in her studies and has received the Best Student Award. Despite all the financial constraints, she continues to study and wishes to become a professor of Urdu language.

Pooja Gehlot is a freestyle wrestling champion. She has also played volleyball at national level competitions. In 2016, she won the gold medal in the 48 kg category in the Junior Wrestling Championship. In 2019, she became the second Indian woman to win a silver medal in the 51 kg weight category at the World Wrestling Championship.

Surbhi Chandna is an Indian television actress. She gained recognition for her role ‘Anika’ in the TV show ‘Ishqbaaz’. She won several awards for her performance. Surbhi has worked in Ekta Kapoor’s show ‘Naagin’ as a lead actress.

Sakshi Malik is a wrestler. She has played at national and international level competitions. Sakshi Malik won her first gold medal at the Commonwealth Games 2022. Sakshi has been honoured with the Padma Shri Award.

Harshita Singh worked at a law firm in Delhi. Being dissatisfied with her job, she appeared for the UPPSC-J examinations and came out shining by securing a rank 6 in the exams. Harshita juggled between her tiring job and studies to make herself and her mother proud.

Swapna Barman is an Indian athlete. She received training from the 'Sports Authority of India Campus'. With the help of scholarships, Swapna participated in several state and national level competitions. She won a gold medal in 2018 Asian Games in women's category of heptathlon. 

Jaipur’s Madiha won a gold in taekwondo in the third taekwondo competition at the inauguration ceremony of Khelo India centres in Jaipur. She is only 6 years old but is inspired to play for her country at the national levels.

Ashwini Vishnoi’s father coached her at home for wrestling matches at state and national levels. After practicing for four years, she won a gold medal at under-15 Asian Wrestling Championship in Oman.
