This year, 25 new Indians joined the Forbes Billionaire List 2024. India had 200 billionaires out of the 2,781 total in the world. Renuka Jagtiani topped the list of new billionaires with a net worth of $4.8 billion. 

Byju's founder, Byju Raveendran, has been removed from the Forbes Billionaire list 2024. Just last year, his net worth amounted to around $2.1 billion, but now it has plunged to zero due to the company's financial crisis. 

Renuka Jagtiani is among the 23 new billionaires on the Forbes New Billionaires list 2024, with a net worth of $4.8 billion. She is the CEO of Landmark Group, a retail company founded by her late husband Micky Jigtiani.
