Prince Mehra earned the title of ‘Bird Man’ in Chandigarh for his dedicated efforts in treating injured birds over the course of 12 years. To date, he has treated around 1160 injured birds, while overseeing the cremation of 1290 deceased ones.

The nests that Gurpreet installed some 16 years ago, have finally borne fruitful results. Almost 80 % of these nests are occupied with birds and 14 endangered species have returned to their original habitats. His organization Bird’s Environment and Earth Reviving Hands Society works for the wellbeing of these species.
