Sabarimala row: VHP, Bajrang Dal protest in Bengaluru; warn Pinarayi Vijayan

Bengaluru: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal members staged a protest against the Kerala government for hurting the feelings of the Hindus and Ayyappa devotees by allowing women between the age of 10 and 50 to enter the famous Sabarimala temple. A torch light protest was held in front of the Town Hall in Bengaluru. The VHP spokesperson Shashikanth Sharma, and Bajrang Dal leaders too took part in the protest. Rahul Eswar, leader of Ayyappa Dharma Sena from Kerala, too was a part of the protest. The ritual of women of menstruating age not entering the temple has been followed for over 800 years, they said. They warned Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan against hurting the feelings of the Hindus and atrocities carried out on Hindu women.
