Chennai: Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday interacted with the students of Stella Maris College in Chennai.

During the interaction, he went on to say that Congress will change the mood of the country and will make people feel happy and empowered. Meanwhile, one of the students asked what special quality Rahul imbibes from his mother.

Rahul Gandhi said “humility” was one such quality and immediately committed a gaffe by saying, “When you are speaking to a person, look at the world not from your position, but look at the world from your position.”

After this incident, social media went berserk embarrassing the Congress president. #GoBackRahul has become the top Twitter trend after this incident.

Similarly, #GoBackPappu became the third highest trending hashtag at about 12 pm and continued its grip in the top five.

That wasn't all. Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday had mistakenly called Nirav Modi, Narendra Modi. The blunder happened when the Congress president was talking about fugitive jeweller Nirav Modi in connection with the rampant corruption taking place in the country.

"We want to take the money that is going to 15-17 corrupt business people like Narendra...not Narendra, Nirav Modi and open the banking system to entrepreneurs like yourself," said Gandhi.

At the same time, speaking about his famous gesture of hugging Modi in the Parliament, Rahul said, "I was watching the PM delivering the speech. I don't have any animosity towards him. I could see the PM was very angry and was speaking against the Congress. But, inside me, I was feeling affectionate towards him. This man is not able to see the beauty of the world. So, I thought that at least on my part, I should show some affection. I genuinely feel love for the man."
