Bengaluru: A poisonous gas leak has been reported from the kemari port of Karachi, Pakistan.

Reports of the gas leak trickled in late last night (Feb 16). As per sources, five people have been killed and dozens have fainted to the gas leak.
As per Pakistan Today, the source of the gas leak is the ship that was anchored at the port. But there are further reports that suggest that the source claims are false as the police and the port spokespersons have denied it.

So as of now, the cause has to be formally ascertained.

Such was the effect of the gas leak that people on the roads started fainting. Others rushed to their rescue and shifted them to the nearby hospital.

Other reports state that CM Murad Ali Shah has sought a report from the Commissioner of Karachi police at the earliest.  He has also issued directives to the officials to provide the best possible healthcare facilities.

There were also reports coming in that hundreds have fled the place, unable to breathe.

The smoke that engulfed the area was also too hard to miss. People expressed their concerns at the plumes.
