Bengaluru: During these hard times of covid pandemic, life has become too harsh and risky. While many patients are in hospitals, taking treatment, others are locked up indoors as a result of lockdowns.

That being the case, there are several noble souls who are doing their best to alleviate the misery of the people. It is not just those who extend a hand of help like distributing victuals and arranging essentials like oxygen cylinders or tablets. There are others who walk the extra mile to ensure there is smile on the faces of their fellow-beings.

Shashikant Pedwal is one such soul. He is a lookalike of superstar Amitabh Bachchan.

Using this to his advantage, he has decided to make the lives of covid patients brighter.

He says, “Amid the pandemic, I thought let’s boost the morale of the covid-infected patients. Let’s bring smiles on their faces. Whenever I have a conversation with the patients, there is this smile that comes on their faces. Smile on the faces of these covid patients is the biggest thing I look forward to. I don’t charge anything for it,” as reported by India Today.

He has already spoken to 350 covid patients already. As the covid patients take medicines, all that they yearn for is a smile on their face!

Times of India reports that he is a teacher by profession and has been emulating the actor for 12 years.

He says, "I take this lookalike work as passion, but pursue another alternate career to sustain in life''.

He adds, "I used to go and watch Mr. Bachchan's films without informing my parents. I have watched all his films. The first film that I saw of his was ‘Saat Hindustani’ (1969), but it was ‘Zanjeer’ (1973) that changed my life''.

It is really commendable of him to have used his mimicry prowess to ensure there is something to cheer about.
