Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday (January 16) announced the annual player contracts for Team India. There are four categories, namely Grade A+, Grade A, Grade B and Grade C.

In the top category of Grade A+, three cricketers feature, captain Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah. The players in Grade A+ will receive Rs 7 crore while in the next category they will get Rs 5 crore. Grade B players will get Rs 3 crore followed by Rs 1 crore.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has not played for India since the ICC World Cup 2019 in July, has not been given a contract. This might indicate that his international career is over.

The BCCI contract system is for the period October 2019 to September 2020.
