In a shocking video that is doing the rounds, Kamal Haasan is seen explaining the current condition of Maharashtra politics in a movie that was shot 39 years ago.

The dialogue is from the Tamil movie Varumaiyin Niram Sigappu directed by Balachandar. The movie starring Kamal Haasan and Sridevi was released in 1980.

In the movie, interviewers ask Kamal Haasan "Who is the chief minister of Maharashtra?" To this Kamal retorts, "Today, yesterday or the day before? Because there is a change every day you see."

This is exactly how Maharashtra 'rulers' too changed from no government to President's rule to Devendra Fadnavis being sworn in as chief minister to now Uddhav Thackeray all set to become the new CM. All this within the matter of a week.

The film was simultaneously shot in Tamil and Telugu (as Aakali Rajyam). The movie was also made in Hindi as Zara Si Zindagi starring Kamal Haasan and Anita Raj and was released in 1983.

The blockbuster movie depicted the struggles of youth and their disillusionment with Indian society.

MyNation's Just for Laughs section with a video shows how the situation has not changed in Maharashtra 39 years later.
