Bengaluru: Amid allegations by ruling coalition leaders in Karnataka that the BJP is allegedly attempting to destabilise the HD Kumaraswamy government, a video of a JD(S) MLA purportedly claiming that Rs 40 crore in cash was offered to him, has surfaced on social media on Thursday (July 4).

Though MLA K Mahadev, in his conversation with a group of people of his Piriyapatna constituency, did not say who made the offer, the Congress alleged corruption money of the BJP’s Central government was being used for buying legislators in Karnataka.

In the video, the JD(S) MLA also claimed that Gokak Congress MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi also demanded Rs 80 crore from the BJP to jump ship.
