Virudhunagar: Congress party workers in Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar attacked a photo-journalist for clicking pictures of empty chairs during a rally. The incident was caught on camera and has gone viral.
In the video, Congress party workers can be seen assaulting the journalist who has been identified as Muthuraj. The workers even snatched his camera away. Other media personnel tried to intervene but were also assaulted. The police intervened later.
Tamil Nadu Congress president and party candidate for Virudhunagar Lok Sabha constituency KS Alagiri, B Manickam Tagore and DMK MLA Thangam Thennarasu were also present but no one from the party came forward to stop the workers from attacking the journalists.
