The Karnataka government’s move to withdraw nearly 150 cases against rioters, assaulters, molesters and dacoits in the coastal region of Mangaluru has angered the chief opposition party, the BJP. In a scathing attack, senior BJP leader Go Madhusudhan termed it as a ‘give and take’ policy
Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has withdrawn nearly 150 cases against those who were accused of molestation, assaulting, rioting, dacoity among others in the coastal region of Mangaluru. As per practice, the government consults the opposition party as well. But nothing of that sort has happened this time.
The opposition BJP in the state has come down heavily against the Congress-JD(S) coalition government for taking such a hasty decision. It said the move is nothing but to appease a particular section of the society.
