Excelling in the field of sports is never a piece of cake. Ask the athletes and they will tell you that they always go that extra mile to test their limits and if possible even break them. In a country like ours where perhaps popularity is still somewhere restricted to sportsmen excelling in the field of popular games like cricket, football and perhaps even hockey to an extent, it’s always heartening to hear of those who defy all odds to become champions. Today on World Disability Day, let’s celebrate the achievements of 4 such differently-abled sportswomen who are true homegrown legends and who did not let their disability stop them from making every Indian proud.
