Wayanad records 67.35% voter turnout despite heavy rainfall

Wayanad: Heavy rain and thunderstorm hit different parts of Wayanad district in Kerala. Apparently, Wayanad recorded the highest voter turnout, which is 67.35%. Polling began at 7 am for 20 Lok Sabha seats in Kerala.

Wayanad leaders also claimed that after 20 years, this is the first time where a vast voter turnout has been witnessed. Congress candidate Rahul Gandhi, NDA candidate Thushar Vellappally and CPI candidate PP Suneer are the key candidates from Wayanad. 

Meanwhile, malfunction of the voting machines was also reported from different parts of the state.
