Thiruvananthapuram district collector: Error in voting machine fake news

Thiruvananthapuram: District collector K Vasuki said that the voting machines are fine and that the news alleging malfunction of these machines is false. Reports claiming that the polling booth in the Kovalam Assembly constituency was in serious trouble at booth number 151 are baseless allegations, she said.

It was reported that at a booth in Kovalam, Thiruvananthapuram, when a person pressed the button to vote for the Congress candidate, the light against the BJP lotus symbol lit up.

Meanwhile, Chief Election Officer Teeka Ram Meena also said that news regarding booth 151 in Kovalam collecting only BJP votes is false. He also added that the authorities have cross-checked the issue and said no such thing has happened.
