Lok Sabha election 2019: Karnataka BJP accuses Revanna of casting proxy votes

Hassan: Polling agents of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) complained to the deputy commissioner and chief electoral officer of Hassan, Priyanka Mary Francis, of electoral proxy votes cast by minister for public works HD Revanna and his son Prajwal, the candidate from Hassan constituency, on April 18.

In the complaint filed by the polling agents, Mayanna Gowda and MN Raju reportedly alleged that JD(S) chief, HD Deve Gowda and Revanna arrived at polling station 244 at around 9 am to cast their vote with their families, along with a group of 30 youths who barged into the polling station. They also alleged that Revanna helped the youths to cast proxy votes.

The DC on Saturday (April 27) reviewed the polling station video and said that required action will be taken. Further reports in this regard are awaited.
