Kollam: The LDF and UDF workers in Kollam are alleging each other of violating the model code of conduct ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in Kerala. This fight has now reached social media and it has become a trend to abuse the opposing party.

Meanwhile, the chief electoral officer Teeka Ram Meena on March 11 had said that proper guidelines would be given to the parties in the state for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. “The issue of women’s entry into Sabarimala cannot be used for the election campaign and it would be a violation of the code of conduct,” he had said.

Similarly, the LDF has given a complaint to the district collector against Kasargod UDF candidate Raj Mohan Unnithan for violating the model code of conduct. The complaint states that the speech made by Unnithan in Payyanur on April 8 violated the model code of conduct and created a communal divide in the society.
