Chincholi: By-polls are being held in two constituencies - Chincholi and Kundagol of Karnataka. People are standing in long queues in Chincholi to cast their vote, where BJP is fielding Avinash Jadhav, a novice in politics against Subhash Rathod of Congress. Avinash Jadhav is the son of Umesh Jadhav, who recently quit Congress and joined BJP in opposition to alleged dictatorial rule by the Kharges in Kalaburagi. On the other hand in Kundagol, Congress's Kusumavathi Shivalli is facing BJP's Chikkanagoudar Patil. The by-poll is being held here as Congress MLA CS Shivalli died of a heart attack in March. BJP's Chikkanagoudar was defeated by a sleek margin in the last assembly elections. While voters stood in long queues to cast their votes, Chikkanagoudar Patil visited Doddoppa temple in Adaragunji along with his family members before casting his vote. Later he voted at the Government Higher Primary School at Adaragunji.
